CSSBUY / THE FIELD GUIDE

A closer look before you ship.

Use reference photos to research a find, then review the photos of your own warehouse item before dispatch.

Check the order → inspect the item → measure the fit → resolve questions → submit the parcel

Use this checklist while your item is still in the CSSBuy warehouse. Keep the paid order, the seller’s selected variant and your own warehouse photos open together. The aim is to answer a specific question before dispatch, rather than approve an item because one overview photo looks good.

01

Start with your own order photos

Open the relevant order in your CSSBuy account after the item has arrived at the warehouse. Check the order number and item record before opening its photos. Keep the seller listing or your saved variant selection beside it so that you compare the same product, rather than a similar item.

The photos on this directory are research references from a catalog record. A seller’s promotional image, a previous buyer’s QC photo and the photos of your own order serve different purposes. Only the last group shows the warehouse item being prepared for your parcel.

CSSBuy describes its arrival inspection as a general check. Use the pictures to inspect visible details and ask focused questions where something is unclear. Photos alone cannot confirm authenticity, material composition, hidden internal defects, long-term durability or the working condition of every feature.

02

Match the exact item, variant and quantity

Compare the paid order line with the item shown in the warehouse photos. Do this before judging workmanship: even a neatly made item is the wrong order if its model, size or selected version does not match what you bought.

  • Model and version: compare the product name, selected option and visible identifying details. When one listing contains several designs, check the exact option you selected, not just the listing’s first image.
  • Size and color: read the actual size tag or shoe label when it is visible. Distinguish garment size, shoe size system and seller variant code. Lighting and screens can change the apparent color; ask for another view if the difference could affect your decision.
  • Quantity and pairs: count the pieces shown. For shoes, confirm a left and right shoe in the same selected size. For sets, check every included part rather than assuming one photographed piece proves that the whole set arrived.
  • Accessories: compare any straps, spare laces, detachable parts, dust bags or other included pieces with the seller’s actual description. Do not assume an accessory is included solely because it appears in a promotional picture.
03

Inspect details that matter for your product

Start with an overview, then inspect the areas most relevant to that item. Ask for both sides when symmetry or a paired component matters. If a defect appears in one angle, request a closer view before deciding whether it is a stain, shadow, crease or physical damage.

ProductWhat to inspectUseful additional photos
Shoes / slippersCompare the pair’s size labels, toe shape, side panels, heel alignment, sole edges, stitching and visible glue or surface damage. Check both shoes, including the outsole. Both outer sides, both inner sides, heels together, outsoles and readable size labels.
T-shirts / hoodies / trousersCheck the front and back, seams, print or embroidery placement, cuffs, hems, closures and visible marks. For sets, compare the sizes and colors of every piece.Full front and back laid flat, size or care label, a close-up of the concern and the requested measurements.
Bags / leather beltsCheck stitching, edges, strap attachment points, closures, hardware, lining and included parts. Compare dimensions and strap or belt length with the selected option.Front, back, base, interior, closures, attachment points and a ruler view of the requested dimensions.
Electronics / perfume / other itemsMatch the model or capacity, included parts, packaging and visible condition. A photo does not establish battery health, liquid contents or full functionality; ask what checks are available.Readable model labels, included parts, packaging condition and specific views relevant to the item. Also confirm shipping eligibility before dispatch.
04

Check measurements instead of relying on size labels

Compare the seller’s measurement method with a garment or item you already own and use comfortably. Keep the unit consistent, usually centimeters, and make the starting and ending points clear. A size letter or shoe conversion chart is not a substitute for the dimension you actually need.

ItemRequest this measurementKeep the method consistent
T-shirt / hoodiePit-to-pit width, body length and, where relevant, sleeve length.Ask for the garment laid flat and a photo showing the ruler endpoints. Compare flat width with flat width, not with a body circumference.
Trousers / shortsWaist width, total length and inseam; add rise or thigh width if those affect your fit.Specify whether an elastic waist should be measured relaxed. A waistband measured while stretched cannot be compared directly with a relaxed one.
ShoesInsole length, where removal and measurement are available without damaging the item.An outsole length is not an insole length. Compare with a comfortable shoe using the same method; the result still does not guarantee fit.
Bag / beltBag width, height and depth, or the belt length and relevant fastening position.Specify whether handles, buckles or other extensions are included in the measurement.
Example: if your comfortable T-shirt measures 54 cm pit to pit and 70 cm in body length, compare the warehouse item using those same two measurements. Do not decide solely because both tags say “L”, and ask the seller to clarify any measurement difference that matters to you.
05

Ask for a specific photo or measurement

Open the relevant CSSBuy order details and review the available services. CSSBuy’s help information describes photo and measurement services, including adding services after ordering. Availability, service labels and any charges should be checked in the current account screen before confirming a request.

  • Name the exact item and the view: “both heel backs in one level photo” is clearer than “more shoe pictures”. Ask for an overview and a close-up when both the item identity and the detail need to be visible.
  • For a measurement, state the dimension, unit and endpoints. Request a photo with the ruler visible rather than only a number typed into a reply, especially when the measuring method affects your decision.
  • For a possible defect, identify its location, such as “the seam at the right sleeve cuff” or “the outer edge of the left shoe”. Ask the agent to keep the area unobstructed and confirm whether the mark is visible on the actual item.

Hello, please check order [ORDER NUMBER], item [ITEM NAME / VARIANT]. Please add a clear photo of [EXACT VIEW OR AREA] and measure [DIMENSION] in centimeters from [START POINT] to [END POINT], with the ruler visible. My concern is [DESCRIBE THE QUESTION]. Please confirm any service charge before proceeding. Thank you.

Record the issue and ask for a clear resolution

If the item is incorrect, incomplete, visibly damaged or different from the selected variant, raise the issue while it is still in the warehouse. Keep the item out of an international parcel until you understand the available options. Check the order’s current status and any seller or platform deadline promptly.

  • Keep the paid order information, selected variant, seller description and the relevant warehouse photos. Describe what you ordered and what is actually shown, instead of sending only “wrong item” or “bad quality”.
  • Ask what can be done: another photo, a recheck, a seller return or an exchange. Confirm eligibility, any domestic return postage, extra service charges and what needs your approval. An issue report is not a guarantee that the seller will accept a return.
  • Read the response and check the updated order record. After an exchange or replacement arrives, review its own photos again; do not reuse the original item’s approval.

Hello, order [ORDER NUMBER] was placed for [EXPECTED ITEM / SIZE / COLOR]. The warehouse photo shows [OBSERVED DIFFERENCE] at [LOCATION]. Please check the attached evidence and advise whether a recheck, return or exchange is available. Please confirm the conditions and any return postage or service charge before I decide.

Decide what needs to happen before shipping

Use the result of the check to choose a practical next action. A missing view is a reason to ask a question; a confirmed mismatch is a reason to discuss a resolution. Keep the decision tied to the actual item and the information that matters to your order.

08

Finish the checks before international dispatch

When the item questions are resolved, review your parcel selections separately from the product QC. Confirm which accessories and packaging should stay, what you agree to remove, and whether the available shipping route accepts the goods and packed parcel. A satisfactory product photo does not establish shipping eligibility.

Do not request removal of a box, protective cover or detachable part until you know whether you want to keep it. If an unresolved question concerns the product or its packaging, settle it before approving removal or dispatch. Once the parcel is sent internationally, resolving a product issue can be more complicated.

Before you submit the parcel

Complete the checks for every item separately. If an important point is still unanswered, keep that item out of the parcel until the response is clear.

  • The exact item, selected variant, size, color and quantity match the paid order.
  • You have reviewed your own warehouse photos, including any requested close-ups and measurements.
  • Visible damage, missing pieces and seller return or exchange questions have been addressed.
  • Accessories and packaging you want to keep are recorded before choosing packaging removal.
  • The selected shipping route accepts the parcel’s goods, dimensions, weight and destination.
  • The final order status and any additional service charges have been checked in CSSBuy.
